Indoors and outdoors, in vertical and horizontal applications, in metal or concrete tanks, as a chemical-resistant gas and vapor barrier coating on walls, in oil and fuel tanks, power stations, sugar factories, hangars and liquid storage areas, drinking water tanks, oil refineries and paper mills, in the beer, wine and raisin industry, in the soft drink and fruit juice industry, in the milk, cheese and yogurt industry, It is used in tomato paste and canned food, meat and fish industry, pharmaceutical, paint, paper, battery, fertilizer industry, printing houses, hotel kitchens and laundries, hospital laboratories, dining halls, wet areas and hygienic environments.
It should be ensured that the concrete or metal surfaces to be coated with YAPSEAL© COAT 80 are clean, smooth and solid.
Concrete Surfaces: Care should be taken to ensure that the cement-based surfaces of concrete structures in contact with water are solid, dry, load-bearing, dust-free and clean, as well as in balance. The surface should be thoroughly cleaned of any oil, grease, rust and paraffin residues that will weaken the adherence, and there should be no loose particles on the surface. The iron and wooden wedges on the surface should be removed, active water leaks and gaps, if any, should be filled with YAPSEAL© SHOCK 30, and the corners and edges should be chamfered with a radius of at least 4 cm.
Steel Surfaces: Steel surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned of all kinds of oil, grease and rust residues that will weaken adherence and a suitable surface should be obtained by sandblasting. In cases where it is not possible to work with sandblasting, cleaning should be done with an air scraper gun or a dish wire brush. To clean the surface in cases where it is greasy and oily, degreasers are used. Immediately after cleaning, YAPSEAL© COAT 80 should be applied to the surface. Re-corrosion of the surface must be prevented.
Mixture Preparation: Hardening component B (YAPSEAL© COAT 80) is slowly absorbed into resin component A (YAPSEAL© COAT 80) It is added slowly and mixed with a 400-600 rpm mixer for 3-5 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. After resting for about 3-5 minutes and mixing again for 30 seconds, the material is ready for use.
Application: YAPSEAL© COAT 80 can be applied by velvet roller or special spraying machine. To obtain a complete coating, YAPSEAL© COAT 80 must be applied in two coats. Applying the second layer before the first layer is completely powdery mildew is the best way to apply. If the application between coats exceeds 24 hours, the surface must be roughened. When a re-coating is required due to damage to the top coat, etc., it should be thoroughly abraded with a wire brush or sandpaper to ensure adequate mechanical adhesion of the area to be treated. By completely cleaning the unstable coating, it should be retreated as if applying it for the first time
It is recommended to apply YAPSEAL © COAT 80 in 2 coats. It is approximately 0.20-0.40 kg/m2 for each layer. It is sufficient for the dry film thickness of YAPSEAL © COAT 80 to be between 125 and 250 microns.
If the temperature of the floor where YAPSEAL © COAT 80 will be applied is below (+5)oC or above (+30)oC, suitable temperatures should be expected. In cold weather applications, in order to maximize the workability of the material, the packages must be conditioned at (+20)oC – (+25)oC and made ready for use. The operating and reaction times of resin-based systems are affected by ambient and
ground temperature and relative humidity in the air. Low temperatures slow down the chemical reaction, prolong pan life, coatable time, and runtime. At the same time, as the viscosity increases, the consumption increases. High temperatures accelerate the chemical reaction, and the above-mentioned times are correspondingly shortened. In order for the material to complete its cure, the ambient and floor temperature should not fall below the minimum allowable temperature. In exterior surface applications, the surface must be protected from sun, wind, frost or rain for the first 24 hours. For water tanks, vibrating floors and surfaces that are intended to deflect, it is recommended to use YAPBOND© GA GRANITEX before the use of YAPSEAL © COAT 80 . It has limited UV resistance. When spraying applications are preferred, please consult YAPKİM Construction Chemicals Industry and Trade Inc. Technical Service.
YAPSEAL © COAT 80 is available in sets of 5 kg:
Component A: 4.36 kg Metal Bucket, Component B: 0.64 kg Metal Bucket
It should be stored in a clean, dry and moisture-free environment between +50C and +350C, away from direct sunlight. It must
be protected against water, frost and severe weather. It should be stored in stacks of no more than 3 layers. Provided that the
specified storage conditions are complied with, the storage life is a maximum of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
