Yapbond Gypsoplast

Used to increase the adherence of gypsum, lime and cement based plaster mortars to the exposed concrete surface on vertical walls and ceilings, both indoors and outdoors, and as a primer for ceiling plasters.

Ensure that the surface is clean, dry and strong. Remove dust, dirt, mold oil, slag and paint residues that prevent adhesion on the application surface. Scrape sub-surfaces that are not self-supporting such as cracked plasters, weak surfaces, mortar and cement residues from the surface. Scrape off any plaster thinner than 3 mm on the application surface and clean the surface thoroughly. In case of defects and cracks on the application surface, fix them using YAPBUILT © range of repair mortars at least 24 hours before the application. Prepare the surface through appropriate mechanical preparation techniques such as high pressure water or abrasive equipment.

Add approximately 4.00 – 6.00 liters of clean water to a 12 kg bucket of YAPBOND© GYPSOPLAST and mix with a low speed mechanical mixer until a homogenous mixture is achieved. Apply the obtained mixture to the surface with a textured roll or brush. Mix YAPBOND© GYPSOPLAST at regular intervals while working with it.

You may proceed with the application of plaster 24 hours after the application of the primer. Curing time for the applied product is 45 – 60 minutes. Low temperatures and high relative humidity will extend this period. Do not start the application of plaster before the primer application cures.

Ensure that surface temperature ranges between +5oC and +35oC during application. After the application, protect the application surfaces from direct sunlight for 24 hours. In cases where the temperature of the application surface exceeds +350C, identify the absorbency of the surface and take precautions against excessively absorbentsurfaces. Protect
the surface from air drafts during and after application. Do not perform the application in rainy weather, and protect the application surface from rain for 24 hours. Do not apply this product on metal surfaces and wooden floors. The specified consumption amounts are for information purposes only. The consumption amounts may vary depending on the application conditions and surface properties. Do not add water or other additives with ratios other than the water mixture ratios specified in the Technical Data Sheet of the product. Ensure that the products are protected against severe weather conditions and frost during storage. Wash hands and application tools with plenty of water after application. .

Store in a clean, dry environment, free from moisture, between +50C and +350C, away from direct sunlight. Protect against water, frost and severe weather conditions. Store in stacks of maximum 3 layers. Do not stack buckets on top of each other for long term storage. Storage life is maximum 12 months from the date of production, provided that the storage conditions specified are complied with

First, take all necessary Occupational Health and Safety precautions in the areas for the application and ensure that the operations are carried out by persons with technical knowledge and equipment. It is mandatory to use all occupational safety equipment such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles/masks etc. specified in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety instructions during the application. The working area needs to be ventilated. Do not approach warehouses and storage areas with fire. Avoid contact of the product with skin and eyes, immediately wash the area of contact with plenty of water and seek medical advice immediately in such a case. Also, prevent contact of food and beverages with the product. Store and protect away from children. See Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for further information. Also, the application of the product should be carried out by persons with adequate technical
knowledge, equipment and experience. The user is solely responsible for this.
