Yaprheo Latex 5

Used as an adhesion and water impermeability enhancing additive in interior and exterior plasters of water tanks, pools and treatment plants; to prevent the formation of cold joints and to increase adhesion in new concrete or screed applications on old concrete; as an additive on concrete or gas concrete surfaces with smooth surface finishes, before the application of plaster and ceramic; to improve adherence in spreading plaster; and as an additive for mortars prepared for laying natural stone, brick, tile slabs outdoors in order to prevent them from being affected by the freeze-thaw cycle.

Ensure that the cement based surfaces on which YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 is to be applied are strong, durable, clean and free of dust. Clean the surface thoroughly from any oil, grease, corrosion, rust and paraffin residues that may weaken adhesion. Cut the edges of the broken surface as perpendicular as possible, remove corrosion from the reinforcement and add new reinforcement if required. Drain any water run-off from the surface or seal it with a suitable plug. Saturate the application surface with water 12 hours before application, but ensure that no free water remains on the surface.

Dilute and mix YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 with water in the proportions specified in the application method.

For Plaster Mortars: Mix 1 m³ of washed stream sand of suitable gradation with 350 kg of cement. Add the liquid mixture prepared by adding 5 kg of YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 to 120 kg of water to the previously prepared powder mixture until a mortar of consistency suitable to be applied with a trowel is obtained. Wet the surfaces 12 hours before the application and apply the mortar added with YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 to the wet/dry surface.

PCC (Polymer Cement Concrete) Primer for Screeds: Used to improve adherence and to prevent the formation of cold joints in new concrete or screed applications on old concrete. A: Mix 10 kg of cement with 30 kg of washed stream sand (0-3 mm grit). B: Mix 10 kg of YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 with 20 kg of water. Mix mixtures A and B to the consistency of a thick soup. Apply the
prepared mixture with a brush with a thickness of 2 mm on the surface wetted 12 hours ago. Apply fresh concrete on top of the PCC before it cures and do not allow the PCC to cure. After applying a new layer on the cured PCC, apply fresh concrete on top of it. A total of 0.35 kg/m² is consumed on the first and second coats

Preparing Screed: Mix at least 350 kg of cement into 1 m³ of washed stream sand of suitable gradation. Add the liquid mixture prepared by adding 4 kg of YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 to 110 kg of water to the previously prepared powder mixture until a mortar of consistency suitable for primer is obtained. Apply the coat described in detail above to the surface. Apply fresh concrete on top of the primer coat before it cures

Preparation of Screed Concrete on Industrial Floors : Mix 1 m³ aggregate of suitable gradation, at least 380 kg of cement, 85 kg of water, 3 kg of YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 and 6 kg of YAPRHEO© SUPER MS33 . Apply the primer prepared in advance to the floor using suitable tools. Apply the mortar with YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 by spreading it on the floor without allowing the primer that i s previously applied to cure.

For Coating Mortars: Mix 1 m³ aggregate of appropriate gradation, 250 kg of cement and 3 kg YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 with an appropriate amount of water. Apply the prepared mortar with additive and floor covering materials on the floor.

For Spreading Mortars: Mix 1 m³ of stream sand of appropriate gradation, 350 kg of cement and 10 kg of YAPRHEO© LATEX 5, and add water until it reaches the consistency of a thick soup. Apply it to the surface that was wetted 12 hours ago with a spreader and wait for it to cure. Moisten the surface before applying plaster or ceramic tiles, then perform the application.

Curing Period You can walk on cement based screeds prepared with YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 additive after 24 hours. Mortars with YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 gain their final strength after 28 days at (+20)°C

For 350 kg of cement, 4 kg of YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 and 5 kg of YAPRHEO© SUPER MS33 can be used for screeds. When YAPRHEO© SUPER MS33 is used, the mechanical properties that are provided by YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 to cementitious mixtures are greatly enhanced. Add both additives to the mixture separately.

Stotore in original sealed containers at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C. Store as sealed, away from direct sunlight and protect from extreme temperatures. Failure to comply with the recommended storage conditions may result in premature deterioration of the product or packaging. Shelf life is 12 months if stored in sealed packaging according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

YAPRHEO© LATEX 5 is available in 5 and 30 kg Plastic Drums or 1000 kg IBC.

Clean the tools you have used with water immediately after application. The dosage ratios provided in the method of application are for normal use and do not imply absolute limits, and other dosage ratios may be used in special cases based on specific conditions of use. If required, consult YAPKİM Yapı Kimya San. A.Ş. Technical Service Department for recommendations. Trial mixtures need to be prepared to ensure optimum dosage and efficacy.

First, take all necessary Occupational Health and Safety precautions in the areas for the application and ensure that the operations are carried out by persons with technical knowledge and equipment. It is mandatory to use all occupational safety equipment such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles/masks etc. specified in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety instructions during the application. Do not approach warehouses and storage areas with fire. Avoid contact of the product with skin and eyes, immediately wash the area of contact with plenty of water and seek medical advice immediately in such a case. Also, prevent contact of food and beverages with the product. Store and protect away from children. See Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for further information. Also, the application of the product should be carried out by persons with adequate technical knowledge, equipment and experience. The user is solely responsible for this.
