YAPSEAL© MEGALASTIC PU PR should be shaken well before opening, then opened and poured into a clean container of suitable size and used. The amount of material to be poured into the container should be determined according to the size and conditions of the surface to be applied, and the amount of material that can be used within 60 minutes of use should be prepared. The surface to be primed should be completely covered with YAPSEAL© MEGALASTIC PU PR using a roller or brush. YAPSEAL© MEGALASTIC PU PR should be applied in two layers on very absorbent surfaces. In order to prevent foaming and to dry in time, formation of liquid accumulations on the surface should be prevented. Polyurethane coating or polyurethane joint filler should be applied approximately 2 – 4 hours after application while the primer is still slightly sticky.
In cold weather, the product should be brought to application temperature beforehand and application should never be made at temperatures below 10°C.
The relative humidity of the air should be at most 80%, and the ambient and surface temperatures should be between +8°C and +35°C during application. In addition, the application should not be made in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather. The ground temperature should be 3°C above the current dew point temperature. In applications to be made in extremely cold weather, the ambient and ground temperatures should be increased with the help of heaters, and in order to increase the workability of the material, the packages should be conditioned at (+20) – (+25)°C and made ready for use. Epoxy and polyurethane based floor systems should be applied by expert applicators. The working and reaction times of resin based systems are affected by the ambient and ground temperatures and the relative humidity in the air. The chemical reaction slows down at low temperatures, which extends the usage time, the time it can be coated and the working time. At the same time, since the viscosity increases, consumption increases. High temperatures increase the chemical reaction and the times mentioned above are shortened accordingly. After the coating is completed, the air temperature should not fall below +8°C for at least 36-48 hours, and the newly applied product should not come into direct contact with water or snow. If there is contact with water, this will cause carbonation and softening on the coating, which will cause the coating to lose its properties. The remaining material after use should never be poured back into the existing material. It should not be applied on coatings that are direct usage surfaces such as rubber, linoleum, etc. Opened packages should be closed very tightly and reused and finished as soon as possible.
Ensure that the relative humidity of the air is max. 80%, while the ambient and surface temperature is between +8°C and +35°C. Also, do not apply in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather. Surface temperature should be 3°C above the current dew temperature. For applications to be carried out in extremely cold weather, increase the ambient and floor temperature by means of heaters, and condition the packaging at +20oC to +25oC to improve the processability of the material and make it ready for use. Epoxy and polyurethane based floor systems should be applied by specialized installers. Working and reaction times of resin based systems are affected by ambient and floor temperatures and relative moisture in the air. At low temperatures, the chemical reaction slows down, thus prolonging the using period, the coating period and the working period. At the same time, consumption is increased as viscosity increases. High temperatures speed up chemical reaction; so the above-mentioned times get shorter accordingly. After the completion of the coating, ensure that the ambient temperature does not fall below +8°C for at least 36-48 hours, and that there is no direct contact with water or snow on the recently applied product. In case of water contact, this will lead to carbonation and softening of the coating, which will cause the coating to lose its properties
It should be stored in a clean, dry and moisture-free environment between +50 C and +350 C, away from direct sunlight. It should be protected against water, frost and severe weather conditions. It should be stored in stacks of maximum 10 layers. Storage life is maximum 12 months from the date of production, provided that the specified storage conditions are complied with.
