Yapseal Flex 105

Used as a waterproofing material resistant to UV and light pedestrian traffic in all buildings; especially on deck roofs that will not be covered with another coating material and left uncovered, in wet areas such as balconies, bathrooms, toilets and kitchens, swimming pools and water tanks

Ensure that the surface is clean, moist, smooth and strong. Repair major defects and holes on the surface using YAPBUILT© range of repair mortars at least 24 hours before the application of YAPSEAL© FLEX 105. Chamfer vertical and horizontal corners to ensure a continuous seal. Wet surfaces such as exposed concrete, cement based plaster with clean water and wait until the water layer has disappeared while the surface remains damp. Prime very porous surfaces with undiluted YAPBOND© PRIMER A at least 1 hour before the application of YAPSEAL© FLEX 105 in order to stabilize the water absorption of the surface.

For each coat, add 25 kg of powder component to 8 kg of liquid component gradually and mix with a low speed mixer for about 2-3 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Allow the mixture to rest for 2 minutes and then mix again before application

Apply YAPSEAL© FLEX 105 in at least 2 coats over the entire surface with a brush or trowel. Apply each coat in a direction perpendicular to the previous one. Wait for at least 5 hours between coats.

Consume the prepared mortar within 3 hours

Use the product within the life cycle of the container. Ambient temperature should be between +5℃ and +30℃. Avoid application in very humid and/or very hot weather Do not apply on surfaces that are frozen, melting or in danger of frost within 24 hours. Do not apply on wood, chipboard, plywood and metal surfaces. Do not apply against negative water pressure. Use only its own fluid for the mixture, never add water. Never add foreign substances. Do not seal the dilatation joints on the application surfaces with YAPSEAL© FLEX 105, and provide the integrity of insulation at these points with dilatation insulation tapes. For wet area applications, support active points as well as vertical and horizontal corners with corner insulation tapes. Protect YAPSEAL© FLEX 105 treated surfaces from abrupt temperature differences, air drafts and frost, which may increase the risk of crack formation on the surface, for 48 hours. If necessary, wet the surface and keep it damp. On surfaces that may be exposed to mechanical impacts, apply a protective layer such as ceramic on YAPSEAL© FLEX 105. In case of items fixed to the application surfaces (solar energy system, TV antenna, etc.), repair the connection points of these items with the ground using YAPBUILT © RM S 60 at least 24 hours before the application of YAPSEAL© FLEX 105, and use YAPBUILT © RM S 70 in cases where rapid application or resistance against sulfate is required. After application, wash all tools used with water before they dry

Store in a clean, dry environment, free from moisture, between +50C and +350C, away from direct sunlight. Protect against water, frost and severe weather conditions. Store in stacks of maximum 10 layers. Storage life is maximum 12 months from the date of production, provided that the storage conditions specified are complied with.

First, take all necessary Occupational Health and Safety precautions in the areas for the application and ensure that the operations are carried out by persons with technical knowledge and equipment. Follow the Occupational Health and Safety instructions for all the work carried out. It is mandatory to use all occupational safety equipment such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles/masks etc. specified in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety instructions during the application. The working area needs to be ventilated Do not approach warehouses and storage areas with fire. Avoid contact of the product with skin and eyes, immediately wash the area of contact with plenty of water and seek medical advice immediately in such a case. Also, prevent contact of food and beverages with the product. Store and protect away from children. See Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for further information. Also, the application of the product should be carried out by persons with adequate technical knowledge, equipment and experience. The user is solely responsible for this.
