Used for laying ceramic, tile and similar coating materials on interior walls and floors and gas concrete. Can be safely used on ceramic tiles from top to bottom.

Ensure that the surface is clean, dry and strong. Remove dust, dirt, mold oil, slag and paint residues that prevent adhesion on the application surface. Sub-surfaces that are not strong enough to support themselves, such as cracked plasters and weak surfaces, as well as mortar and cement residues, should be scraped off the surface. Plasters thinner than 3 mm on the application surface should be scraped off and completely cleaned from the surface. If there are any irregularities and cracks on the surface to be applied, they should be corrected with YAPBOND © series repair mortars at least 24 hours in advance. Before application, the surface should be primed with appropriate YAPBOND © series primers depending on the absorbency of the surface. Before application on exposed concrete surfaces, the surface should be primed with YAPBOND © GYPSOPLAST to increase the adhesion strength. In ceramic applications on existing ceramics, existing ceramics should be primed with YAPBOND © PRIMER ULTRA. Dusty surfaces behind the ceramic should be moistened and wiped. Porous surfaces should be wetted and the surface should be waited until the water layer disappears, leaving the surface moist.

25 kg of YAPBOND© CA54 should be added slowly to an average of 5.50 – 6.00 liters of clean water. It should be mixed with a low-speed mixer or trowel until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Any substance not specified in the application instructions should not be added to the mixture. The prepared mortar should be rested for 3 – 5 minutes to mature. It should be mixed again for 1 – 2 minutes before starting the application. The mortar should be applied to the surface and its thickness should be adjusted with a toothed steel trowel. The tooth size of the trowel should be determined according to the size of the ceramic to be laid and the smoothness of the surface to be applied. In ceramics larger than 1100 cm2, mortar should be applied both to the surface to be applied and to the back of the ceramic (double-sided bonding). For a good bond, air should be expelled by applying force with a rubber hammer. The combed mortar should be bonded within 20 – 25 minutes at the most.

The product should be used within the pot life. Mortar that has expired or has crusted in the container should never be used. Tiles bonded with YAPBOND© CA 54 should be avoided from direct contact with water for at least 24 hours. They should be protected from freezing and strong sunlight for 5-7 days. Grouting should be applied at least 24 hours after ceramic bonding applications to be made on the floor. Floors can be opened to light pedestrian traffic after 24 hours. The surface should be protected from air currents during and after the application. In hot weather, the mortar should not be exposed to direct sunlight and the mixture should be made with water at room temperature. Application should not be made in rainy weather and the applied surface should be protected from rain for 24 hours. During application, the surface and ambient temperature should be between +50 C and +350 C. This product is not applied on metal surfaces, floors that will be exposed to heavy traffic, prefabricated and underfloor heated flooring, wooden flooring, swimming pools, exposed concrete, plasterboard walls, surfaces exposed to climatic changes and difficult conditions. Since it is cement based, do not breathe its dust, avoid contact with skin and eyes. After applications, hands and application tools should be washed with plenty of water. Surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Store in a clean, dry environment, free from moisture, between +50C and +350C, away from direct sunlight. Protect against water, frost and severe weather conditions.
