Yapbond CA Power Flex

It is used in the application of ceramic, marble, granite and similar coating materials on surfaces such as concrete plaster and screed indoors and outdoors, and in ceramic applications on existing ceramics and marble.

Care should be taken to ensure that the surface is clean, dry and solid. The surface to be applied should be cleaned of residues such as dust, dirt, mold oil, slag, paint that prevent adhesion. Sub-surfaces that are not strong enough to support themselves, such as cracked plasters, weak surfaces, mortar and cement residues should be scraped from the surface. Plasters thinner than 3 mm on the application surface should be scraped off and completely cleaned from the surface. If there are defects and cracks on the surface to be treated, they should be corrected with YAPBUILT © series repair mortars at least 24 hours before. Before application, the surface should be primed with suitable YAPBOND© series primers, depending on the absorbency of the surface. Before applying on exposed concrete surfaces, the surface should be primed with YAPBOND© GYPSOPLAST to increase the adhesion strength. In ceramics-on-ceramic applications, existing ceramics must be primed with YAPBOND© PRIMER ULTRA. Dusty surfaces behind ceramics should be moistened and wiped. Porous surfaces should be soaked and waited until the water layer disappears so that the surface remains moist

Into approximately 5.50 – 6.00 liters of clean water, 25 kg of YAPBOND© CA POWER FLEX should be added slowly. It should be mixed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Any substance that is not specified in the application instructions should not be added to the mixture. The prepared mortar should be rested for 3–5 minutes to ripen. It should be mixed again for 1 – 2 minutes before starting the application. The mortar should be applied to the surface and its thickness should be adjusted with a threaded steel trowel. The thread size of the trowel should be determined according to the size of the ceramic to be laid and the smoothness of the surface to be applied. For ceramics larger than 500 cm2, mortar should be applied both on the surface to be applied and on the back of the ceramic (double-sided bonding). For good adhesion, air must be expelled by applying force with the help of a rubber

The product must be used within expiry date. Expired or crusted mortar in the container should never be used. Tiles adhered with YAPBOND© CA POWER FLEX should avoid direct contact with water for at least 24 hours. It should be protected from freezing and strong sunlight until 5-7 days later. Tile grout should be applied at least 24 hours after ceramic bonding applications to the floor. Floors can be opened to light pedestrian traffic after 24 hours. During and after application, the surface should be protected from air currents. In hot weather, the mortar should be prevented from being exposed to direct sunlight and the mixture should be made with water with the temperature at room conditions. It should not be applied in rainy weather, and the applied surface should be protected from rain for 24 hours. During the application, the surface and ambient temperature should be between +50C and +350C. This product is not applied on metal surfaces, wooden floors, exposed concrete, drywall walls. Since it is cement-based, do not breathe the dust, and avoid contact with the skin and eyes. After the applications, hands and application tools should be washed with plenty of water. Surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth.

It should be stored in a clean, dry and moisture-free environment between +5 0C and +35 0C, away from direct sunlight. It must be protected against water, frost and severe weather. It should be stored in stacks of no more than 10 layers. Provided that the specified storage conditions are complied with, the storage life is a maximum of 12 months from the date of manufacture.

First, all necessary Occupational Health and Safety measures should be taken in the areas where the application will be done, and the procedures should be carried out by people who have technical knowledge and equipment. Occupational Health and Safety instructions must be followed in all applications. In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety instructions, it is obligatory to use all occupational safety equipment such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles/masks during the application. It is necessary to ventilate the work site. Warehouses and stock areas should not be approached with fire. Contact of the product with skin and eyes should be strictly avoided. In such a case, the area where the product comes into contact should be washed immediately with plenty of water, and medical help should be sought immediately. Food and beverages should also not come into contact with the product. The product should be stored and protected in places away from children. For more information, the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) should be reviewed. In addition, the application of the product should be done by people with sufficient technical knowledge, equipment, and experience.
