It is used in the application of ceramic, marble, granite and similar coating materials on surfaces such as concrete plaster and screed indoors and outdoors, in ceramic applications on existing ceramics, marble, and on floors exposed to stretching

Care should be taken to ensure that the surface is clean, dry and solid. The surface to be applied should be cleaned of residues such as dust, dirt, mold oil, slag, paint that prevent adhesion. Sub-surfaces that are not strong enough to support themselves, such as cracked plasters, weak surfaces, mortar, and cement residues should be scraped from the surface. Plasters thinner than 3 mm on the application surface should be scraped off and completely cleaned from the surface. If there are defects and cracks on the surface to be treated, they should be corrected with YAPBUILT © series repair mortars at least 24 hours before. Before application, the surface should be primed with suitable YAPBOND© series primers, depending on the absorbency of the surface. Dusty surfaces behind ceramics should be moistened and wiped. Porous surfaces should be soaked and waited until the water layer disappears so that the surface remains moist.

15 kg YAPBOND© DA 80 is ready for use. Prior to use, it should be mixed with a low-speed mixer or trowel to facilitate its spread until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The mortar should be applied to the surface and its thickness should be adjusted with a steel toothed trowel. The thread size of the trowel should be determined according to the size of the ceramic to be laid and the smoothness of the surface to be applied. For interior and wall applications, mortar should be applied to both the surface to be applied and the back of the ceramic for tiles larger than 120 cm2 for granite ceramics, natural composite stone, etc., and 900 cm2 for tiles, etc. In outdoor wall applications, air should be expelled by applying force with the help of a rubber hammer for good adhesion. In applications, the weight of the coating is as important as its size. The carded mortar should be glued within a maximum of 20 – 25 minutes. In applications exceeding this period, bonding should not be done on the mortar and the mortar should be scraped from the surface. During the application, care should be taken to ensure that YAPBOND© DA 80 does not form a film on the surface, and if a film is formed, that part should be re-carded. The max. coating area that can be applied on the exterior facades is 200 cm2 and the max. height is 6 m.

The product must be used within expiry date. Expired or crusted mortar in the container should never be used. Direct contact with water should be avoided for at least 24 hours of tiles adhered with YAPBOND© DA 80. It should be protected from freezing and strong sunlight until 5-7 days later. Tile grouting should be started at least 24 hours after ceramic bonding applications to the floor and wall. Floors can be opened to light pedestrian traffic after 24 hours. The time for complete hardening of the product is 8 – 15 days. During and after application, the surface should be protected from air currents. In hot weather, the mortar should be prevented from being exposed to direct sunlight and the mixture should be made with water with the temperature at room conditions. It should not be applied in rainy weather, and the applied surface should be protected from rain for 24 hours. During the application, the surface and ambient temperature should be between +50C and +350C. This product is not applied on metal surfaces, wooden flooring, swimming pools, drywall walls. After the applications, hands and application tools should be washed with plenty of water. Surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth.

It should be stored in a clean, dry, and moisture-free environment between +5 0C and +35 0C, away from direct sunlight. It must be protected against water, frost, and severe weather It should be stored in stacks of no more than 10 layers. Provided that the specified storage conditions are complied with, the storage life is a maximum of 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Occupational Health and Safety instructions must be followed in all applications In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety instructions, it is obligatory to use all occupational safety equipment such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles/masks during the application. It is necessary to ventilate the work site. Warehouses and stock areas should not be approached with fire. Contact of the product with skin and eyes should be strictly avoided. In such a case, the area where the product comes into contact should be washed immediately with plenty of water, and medical help should be sought immediately. Food and beverages should also not come into contact with the product. The product should be stored and protected in places away from children. For more information, the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) should be reviewed. In addition, the application of the product should be done by people with sufficient technical knowledge, equipment, and experience.
