Ensure that the joint gaps are dry, intact and clean. Remove dust, dirt, oil, cement residues that prevent adhesion between the joint gaps to be applied. Ensure that joint gaps is blank up to at least 2/3 of the tile thickness. Clean adhesives overflowing into the joint gaps when the tiles are being laid, while the mortar is still fresh. Moisten highly absorbent tiles with clean water in case of high ambient temperature or windy weather conditions. Cure adhesive before joint filling application

Add 20 kg of YAPBOND© FLEX JOINT slowly over an average of 6.20 – 6.60 liters of clean water. Mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, preferably with a low speed mixer or a trowel. Do not add any substance that is not specified in the application instructions. Adding more or less water than specified may cause cracking, dusting and discoloration. Allow the prepared mortar to rest for 5-10 minutes to set. Mix again for 1-2 minutes before starting the application. Spread the mortar on the surface and fill the joints with a rubber trowel using diagonal movements and remove the excess from the surface by scraping. When the material filled into the joint gap has lost its water and become matt, usually after 10-20
minutes, clean the surface with a damp sponge using circular movements. This period may be shortened in applications made under improper ambient conditions such as direct sunlight or wind,
between coating materials that have stood in the sun for a long time or have high absorbency. You may experience color fluctuations when wiping is done prematurely or with a very watery sponge. Clean the sponge at frequent intervals. After making sure that the joint filler applied is sufficiently dry so that it does not drain from the joint, remove any residue remaining on the surface with a dry cloth. Use the mixture within 1 hour after preparation.

Use surface protectors of YapCare© range before application in order to prevent stain sensitive, porous and absorbent coating materials such as cotto, clinker, glossy granite, ceramic from being affected by joint filler residues. In case there are mortar residues on the surface caused by improper cleaning, you can perform cleaning with cement removers of the YapCare© range by following the application instructions 10 days after the application of the joint filler. Discard any expired or crusted mortar left in the container. After
application, wash your hands and tools with plenty of water while the joint filler is still fresh. When applied in very hot, dry and windy conditions, it is recommended to sprinkle water over the product a few hours after application to improve the final performance. The consumption amounts specified are for general information purposes. They may vary depending on the application conditions and surface properties. Do not inhale the dust and prevent contact with skin and eyes as it is cement based.

Store in a clean, dry environment, free from moisture, between +50C and +350C, away from direct sunlight. Protect against water, frost and severe weather conditions. Store in stacks of maximum 10 layers. Storage life is maximum 12 months from the date of production, provided that the storage conditions specified are complied with.
