Field of Application

It is used as a flooring material in schools and kindergartens, exhibition and fairgrounds, laboratories, hospitals and nursing homes.

Pre-application Surface Preparation

The compressive strength of the concrete floors to be applied should be at least 25 N/mm2 and the adhesion strength should be at least 1.5 N/mm2. The concrete to be applied must have cured for at least 28 days and the concrete surface moisture content should be between 4 and 6%. All loose, particles must be free of oil and paint residues, cement grout. Problematic surfaces in concrete must be repaired in advance. In cases that will adversely affect adhesion, such as residues, roughness and bright screed on the concrete surface, it is mechanically cleaned with a counter sandblasting machine or a diamond drum wiping machine; The surface must be roughened and wiped. After the cleaning process, the entire surface should be cleaned of dust with an industrial vacuum cleaner. The surfaces of the concrete to be coated in contact with the soil must be made resistant to water and water vapor beforehand

Method of Application

YAPSEAL© PSL FLEX is supplied in ready-to-use sets according to the mixing ratio. Before mixing begins, it should be ensured that the material temperatures are between (+15) – (+25)°C . Component YAPSEAL© PSL FLEX A contains pigment. For this reason, component A should be thoroughly mixed with a 300 – 400 rpm mechanical mixer fitted with an epoxy/polyurethane resin mixing tip for 3 – 4 minutes, without dragging air into it, until a homogeneous color is obtained. Then the entire B component should be emptied into the A component and make sure that there is no material left inside the B components. After the A and B components are mixed until they are homogeneous (at least 3 minutes), the material is ready for use

Post-Application Care and Recommendations

The relative humidity of the air should be at most 80%, and the ambient and surface temperature should be between (+8)°C and (+35)°C at the time of application.In addition, it should not be applied in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather. The ground temperature should be 300C above the current dew temperature. (Ask for the Ambient Temperature-Ambient Humidity-Stagnation Temperature table from our company.) The materials to be used in applications to be made at appropriate temperatures should be brought to the application area 1-2 days in advance and stored and it should be ensured that they adapt to the ambient conditions. In applications to be made in extremely cold weather, it should be ensured that the ambient and floor temperature is increased with the help of heaters, and in order to increase the workability of the material, the packages should be conditioned at (+20) and (+25)°C and made ready for use. Epoxy and polyurethane based floor systems should be applied by expert installers. The operating and reaction times of resin-based systems are affected by ambient and ground temperature and relative humidity in the air. At low temperatures, the chemical reaction slows down, which increases the duration of use, coating time and operating time. At the same time, as the viscosity increases, the consumption increases. High temperatures increase the chemical reaction, and the times mentioned above are correspondingly shortened. After completion of the coating, the coating must be protected from direct water contact for at least 24 hours. If there is a water contact, this will create carbonation and softening on the coating, which will cause the coating to lose its properties

Storage and Shelf Life

It should be stored in a clean, dry and moisture-free environment between +50C and +350C, away from direct sunlight. It must be protected against water, frost and severe weather. It should be stored in stacks of no more than 3 layers.Provided that the above-mentioned storage conditions are complied with, the storage life is a maximum of 12 months from the date of production

First, all necessary Occupational Health and Safety measures should be taken in the areas where the application will be made and the procedures should be carried out by people who have technical knowledge and equipment. Occupational Health and Safety instructions must be followed in all works. In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety instructions, it is obligatory to use all occupational safety equipment such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles/masks during the application. It is necessary to ventilate the work site. Warehouses and stock areas should not be approached with fire. The contact of the product with the skin and eyes should be strictly avoided, in such a case, the area where the product comes into contact with plenty of water should be washed immediately and medical help should be sought immediately. Food and beverages should also not come into contact with the product. It should be stored and protected in places away from children. For more information, the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) should be reviewed. In addition, the application of the product; It should be done by people with sufficient technical knowledge, equipment and experience.
