Yapseal Heat 400 S

Used for plastering XPS, EPS and rockwool thermal insulation boards in all structures. Suitable for use on XPS (extruded polystyrene), EPS (expanded polystyrene), rock wool surfaces on interior and exterior facades.

Ensure that the surface is clean, dry and strong. Remove dust, dirt, mold oil, slag and paint residues that prevent adhesion on the application surface. Ensure that the insulation board is strong, well adhered to the underlying surface, clean and dry. Fill any gaps between the plates with the same insulation material or foam based on the width, and remove and square any protrusions to reduce the YAPSEAL© HEAT 400 S consumption.

Add 25 kg of YAPSEAL© HEAT 400 S slowly over an average of 5.50 – 6.00 liters of clean water. Mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, preferably with a low-speed mixer or a trowel. Do not add any substance that is not specified in the application instructions. Allow the prepared mortar to rest for 3-5 minutes to set. Mix again for 1-2 minutes before starting the application.

Apply YAPSEAL© HEAT 400 S to the surface of the insulation board with a steel trowel. Place the reinforcing mesh from top to bottom, pressing and stretching it tightly, without folding and at an equal distance from the insulation board over the entire surface before YAPSEAL© HEAT 400 S dries. To prevent cracking, apply reinforcing mesh with an overlap of 10 cm at the joints. Swivel reinforcing mesh at least 20 cm at corners and all beams, window and door frames. 2. Second Start coat application 3-4 hours later. After the application, the surface would be rendered suitable for exterior cladding. The minimum waiting period for topcoat application on YAPSEAL© HEAT 400 S is 7 days. Apply YAPSEAL© HEAT 400 S in not more than 2 coats.

Consume the prepared mortar within 3 hours.

Use the product within the life cycle of the container. Never use expired or crusted mortar left in the container. Place the insulation boards close to each other and ensure that the gaps between the boards are as small as possible in order to prevent heat transfer. Protect the surface from air drafts during and after application. Prevent exposure of the mortar to direct sunlight in hot weather and mix the mortar with water at room temperature. Do not perform the application in rainy weather, and protect the application surface from rain for 24 hours. Ensure that surface temperature ranges between +5oC and +35oC during application. Do not seal dilatation joints with YAPSEAL© HEAT 400 S, use a dilatation profile for these areas. Apply this product onto metal surfaces and wooden floors. Do not inhale the dust and avoid contact with skin and eyes as it is cement based. Wash hands and application tools with plenty of water after

Store in a clean, dry environment, free from moisture, between +50C and +350C, away from direct sunlight. Protect against water, frost and severe weather conditions. Store in stacks of maximum 10 layers. Storage life is maximum 12
months from the date of production, provided that the storage conditions specified are complied with.

First, take all necessary Occupational Health and Safety precautions in the areas for the application and ensure that the operations are carried out by persons with technical knowledge and equipment. Follow the Occupational Health and Safety instructions for all the work carried out. It is mandatory to use all occupational safety equipment such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles/masks etc. specified in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety
instructions during the application. The working area needs to be ventilated. Do not approach warehouses and storage areas with fire. Avoid contact of the product with skin and eyes, immediately wash the area of contact with plenty of water and seek medical advice immediately in such a case. Also, prevent contact of food and beverages with the product. Store and protect away from children. See Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for further information. Also, the application of the product should be carried out by persons with adequate technical knowledge, equipment and experience. The user is solely responsible for this.
