Yapseal NP Plus set

It is used in waterproofing of horizontal and vertical surfaces of buildings, waterproofing from negative or positive sides, waterproofing of structures under the ground and above ground, foundation-curtain insulation, elevator pits, reinforced concrete pipes, wet areas.

The surface must be clean, damp, smooth and firm. Significant defects and holes in the surface should be repaired with YAPBUILT series repair mortars at least 24 hours before YAPSEAL©© NP application . In order to ensure continuity of tightness, vertical and horizontal corners should be chamfered. Surfaces such as exposed concrete and cement-based plaster should be wetted with clean water and waited until the water layer disappears so that the surface remains moist. Highly porous surfaces should be primed with YAPBOND© PRIMER A without thinning at least 1 hour before YAPSEAL© NP application in order to balance the water absorption of the surface.

The B component of YAPSEAL© NP is added to an average of 5.25 L of clean water and mixed. In the mixture obtained, the A component of YAPSEAL© NP is gradually added and mixed with the help of a low-speed mixer for about 2-3 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is reached. After the mixture is rested for 2 minutes, it is mixed again for 30 seconds and made ready for application.

YAPSEAL© NP should be applied in at least 2 coats over the entire surface by brush or spraying method. If the application is to be made with a brush, the application of each layer should be done perpendicular to the previous one. Mesh reinforcement should be done immediately after the first coat application. Wait at least 5 hours between coats.

Application should be made with ~ 1.30 kg/m2 on the first floor, ~ 1.15 kg/m2 on the second floor, ~ 1.15 kg/m2 on the third floor. The optimum wet film thickness in each layer should be an average of 1.3 mm

The prepared mortar should be consumed within 2 hours.

In YAPSEAL © NP application, if the ambient and surface temperature is below +8 °C or above +30 °C, appropriate temperatures should be expected. In addition, it should not be applied in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather. In exterior surface applications, the surface must be protected from sun, wind, rain and frost for the first 24 hours. YAPSEAL © NP, which is applied at +23°C, gains mechanical strength after 2 days, becomes waterproof after 7 days and reaches its final strength after 14 days. The operating and reaction times of cement and acrylic-based systems are affected by ambient and ground temperature and relative humidity in the air. At low temperatures, the reaction slows down, which increases pan life and runtime.
High temperatures accelerate the reaction, and the times mentioned above are correspondingly shortened. In order for the material to complete its cure, the ambient and floor temperature should not fall below the minimum allowable temperature. In practice, the thickness of the wet film should not exceed 2 mm in a single layer. The application should be done in at least two layers. The places that need to be walked on should be covered with YAPRHEO ® LATEX 5 screed or ceramic.

It should be stored in a clean, dry and moisture-free environment between +50C and +350C, away from direct sunlight. It must be protected against water, frost and severe weather. The liquid B Component of YAPSEAL © NP freezes at temperatures below 0°C. It should be stored in stacks of no more than 3 layers. Provided that the specified storage conditions are complied with, the storage life is a maximum of 12 months from the date of manufacture.

In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety instructions, it is obligatory to use all occupational safety equipment such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles/masks during the application. It is necessary to ventilate the work site. Warehouses and stock areas should not be approached with fire. The contact of the product with the skin and eyes should be strictly avoided, in such a case, the area where the product comes into contact with plenty of water should be washed immediately and medical help should be sought immediately. Food and beverages should also not come into contact with the product. It should be stored and protected in places away from children.
