Yapseal Shock 30

Used on all kinds of mineral-based surfaces of buildings, in places where water leaking from cracks and gaps or pressurized water is required to be cut off quickly, for internal insulation of basement floors, clogging of drill holes, drying of surfaces before insulation.

Ensure that the surface is clean, smooth and strong. Remove dust, oil, paint etc. residues from the application surface with a wire brush. Drill the leaking hole with a minimum size of 3×3 cm to reduce the water pressure. Ensure that the depth to width ratio is 2/1.

Application as a mortar:
Prepare the mortar in the consistency of dough by mixing it with a small amount of water (approximately 0.25 liters of water for 1 kg of powder) in a clean bowl and knead it quickly by hand. As soon as YAPSEAL© SHOCK 30 starts to set with the increase in temperature, press it to close the hole in a single move and wait at least 30 seconds. Smoothen the surface with a trowel in the following minute. For holes with a larger diameter, first seal the perimeter of the hole, leaving a smaller hole in the center, and then perform the application on the smaller hole.

Application as powder: Take a small amount of powder in the palm of your hand with a glove and press it to the point of water leakage in a single move and wait for at least 60 seconds. Continue pressing in this way until the YAPSEAL© SHOCK 30 has fully set and the water stops leaking. When YAPSEAL© SHOCK 30 has hardened, the you can level the surface and proceed to the next application

When applying YAPSEAL © SHOCK 30, if the ambient temperature and surface temperature are below +8°C or above +30°C, wait for suitable temperatures. Also, do not apply in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather. For applications on exterior surfaces, the surface needs to be protected from sun, wind, rain and frost for the first 24 hours. YAPSEAL © SHOCK 30 applied at +23°C gains mechanical strength after 7 days. Do not apply directly on brick, gas concrete and weakly plastered surfaces. Do not apply on surfaces prone to movement or with overall cracking. Never add foreign substances. The YAPSEAL © SHOCK 30 mortar should be prepared in small amounts, considering the application period. In case water pressure is very high, apply after reducing the water pressure by placing a hose in the opening of the discharge hole.

Store in a clean, dry environment, free from moisture, between +50C and +350C, away from direct sunlight. Protect against water, frost and severe weather conditions. Store in stacks of maximum 3 layers. Storage life is maximum 12 months from the date of production, provided that the storage conditions specified are complied with.

First, take all necessary Occupational Health and Safety precautions in the areas for the application and ensure that the operations are carried out by persons with technical knowledge and equipment. Follow the Occupational Health and Safety instructions for all the work carried out. It is mandatory to use all occupational safety equipment such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles/masks etc. specified in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety instructions during the application. The working area needs to be ventilated. Do not approach warehouses and storage
areas with fire. Avoid contact of the product with skin and eyes, immediately wash the area of contact with plenty of water and seek medical advice immediately in such a case. Also, prevent contact of food and beverages with the product. Store and protect away from children. See Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for further information. Also, the application of the product should be carried out by persons with adequate technical knowledge, equipment and experience. The user is solely responsible for this.
