Yapseal PU 400 WB

Concrete, used for insulation and protection of water tanks made of steel or other materials. It is also used safely in prefabricated concrete tanks, drinking water tanks, tanks with shrinkage and expansion movement.

The surface should be cleaned using pressurised water if possible; oil, grease, fuel and paraffin wastes must be removed, as well as complete removal of mould release materials, cement scraps, chips, loose particles and cured layers of membranes. Significant defects and holes on the surface YAPSEAL© PU 400 WB at least 24 hours before the application YAPBUILT© series should be repaired with structural repair mortars. For warehouses made of materials other than concrete, please contact our technical department. Subsoil storages, closed areas, places with poor ventilation, porous surfaces should be primed with YAPSEAL© PU PR. As soon as the primer has cured, seal cracks, holes and edges of the warehouse walls and floor with a polyurethane sealant. The relative humidity of the air must be maximum 80 % and the application temperature between +3°C and +35°C. In open areas, it should not be rainy 24 hours before, during and 24 hours after application.

YAPSEAL© PU 400 WB must be mixed thoroughly before application. In order to mix the product homogenously, the product temperature should not be less than 15°C. Component A should be mixed quickly with a mechanical mixer and component B should be added, observing the mixing ratio. Mix components A and B with a mixer running at low speed (300 rpm) for at least 3 minutes until homogenous. Apply the mixture with a roller. Make sure that the prepared mixture is consumed within the life of the mixture.
Application should be at least 2 coats, wait at least 6 hours between coats (waiting time should not exceed 36 hours).

The product should be kept away from sources of fire and should not be approached with cigarettes. During application, gloves and goggles must be worn and eye and skin contact must be avoided. In case of contact with eyes and skin, wash with plenty of water and consult a doctor immediately. There must be sufficient air circulation in the application area. When the surfaces of the warehouses are exposed to direct sunlight, the colour of the material may fade. This is purely a matter of appearance, waterproofing and protection performance are not affected in any way. It should be stored in a clean, dry and moisture-free environment between +5°C and +35°C, away from direct sunlight. Protect against water, frost and severe weather conditions. It should be stored in stacks of maximum 3 layers. Provided that the specified storage conditions are complied with, the storage life is maximum 12 months from the date of production.

First of all, all necessary Occupational Health and Safety measures should be taken in the application areas and the operations should be carried out by persons with technical knowledge and equipment. Occupational Health and Safety instructions must be followed in all work carried out. It is obligatory to use all work safety equipment such as work clothes, protective gloves/goggles/masks etc. specified in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety instructions during the application. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) should be examined for more information. In addition, the application of the product should be carried out by persons with sufficient technical knowledge, equipment and experience. The responsibility in this regard belongs exclusively to the user
